HEP Plin expands Gas Distribution Network

HEP Plin expands Gas Distribution Network

29.03.2018.
HEP Plin d.o.o. and the Municipality of Feričanci signed the sale and purchase agreement for 15 kilometres of the gas distribution network owned by said Municipality.

HEP Plin has thus consolidated the ownership of the entire 26 km long gas distribution network on the territory of the Municipality of Feričanci, and ensured the network integrity and  operability for the long term.

The Sale and Purchase Agreement was signed by Marko Knežević, the Feričanci Municipality mayor and Damir Pećušak, director of HEP Plin, who emphasized that the long-lasting partnership relationship between HEP Plin and the Municipality of Feričanci had started back in1991 with HEP Plin acquiring the right for the erection of the gas network and the conduct of gas distribution and customer supply across the Municipality territory.

In 1992, HEP Plin built the first 11 kilometres of gas network followed by the construction of the network's remaining 15 kilometres by the Municipality of Feričanci  in 1995 and 1996 under the technical supervision of HEP Plin. Being the gas distribution on the territory of the Feričanci Municipality, HEP Plin had been entitled to the commercial utilization of the entire gas network even before the ownership consolidation process took place.

The acquisition of the gas distribution network of the Municipality of Feričanci represents a part of the business strategy of HEP Plin, which encompasses the consolidation of the gas network ownership across own distribution areas for the purpose of achieving a more efficient business development and the regulation of concession rights.
