Hrvatska elektroprivreda d.d. became the holder of the certificate of integrated environmental, quality, energy, health and work safety system according to international standards ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, ISO 50001:2018 and ISO 45001:2018. Simultaneously, HEP Upravljanje imovinom d.o.o. (HEP – Asset Management) was certified in the field of businesses forming an inseparable whole with HEP d.d.
Davor Turčić, the director of the Croatian branch of the world’s biggest certification company, Bureau Veritas, presented Frane Barbarić, the President of the Management Board of HEP d.d., and Berislav Gluić, the director of HEP – Upravljanje imovinom with certificates.
„HEP d.d. has been managing assets worth more than HRK 40 billion as well as the critical infrastructure of strategic importance for the Republic of Croatia. It has also been managing the system providing services to more than 2 million buyers and customers. Therefore, the need for an integrated system of business affairs is more than obvious. Introduction of the integrated system of environmental and energy management is seen as part of the implementation of renewable development scenario within HEP 2030 strategy, and the area of health and work safety is one of the most important areas for HEP Group, where we have recently undertaken very important activities”, said Frane Barbarić.
Along with other system documentation required by the standards, HEP d.d.’s Management Board adopted the umbrella document – Policy of quality, environment protection, energy, health and work safety management for HEP d.d. and HEP Upravljanje imovinom d.o.o., which states the commitment to maintain and permanently improve the integrated management system. Within the certification process encompassing 85 days of workshops, the total of 87 employees were certified, among them 54 internal auditors and 33 lead auditors.
„This is the acknowledgement for a successfully implemented project, unique in the practice of implementing complex management systems. The project is based on two unusually brave, and eventually, correct decisions; the implementation of all components simultaneously as well as modelling and implementation by own resources. Bravely and successfully, as it suits strong organizations, as it suits HEP d.d.”, said Davor Turčić.
Hrvatska elektroprivreda has been introducing international management systems into the business of other HEP Group’s companies. So, HEP Proizvodnja (HEP – Generation) has introduced integrated environmental, quality and energy management system. HEP – Operator distribucijskog sustava (HEP – Distribution system operator) has implemented the transition of the norm for health and safety protection. Upon introducing environmental and quality management systems, HEP – Toplinarstvo (HEP – District Heating) is currently implementing integrated environmental, quality and energy management system.
