Five years of existence and operation of HEP ESCO was marked by a celebration on November 13 and it was the occasion to thank everybody who had contributed to the creation and today's reputation and status of HEP ESCO.
HEP ESCO’s director Gordana Lučić emphasized in her welcoming address the important positive role of the parent company Hrvatska Elektroprivreda and an exceptional enthusiasm of all 20 employees of HEP ESCO in implementing the 20 energy efficiency projects over the period. Ms Lučić recalled the first steps of this young company at a time when many did not recognize the significance of energy efficiency or ESCO model.
This means that five years ago a new business within HEP and the only energy service company in Croatia was set up, and energy efficiency projects have shown that it is the best road for environmental protection, energy and financial savings, together with the fact that the projects pay for themselves. She thanked everybody – past management boards of HEP who made sure conditions for HEP ESCO’s operations were met, colleagues for their support, the World Bank that supported the entire project.
