HEP signatory of the Diversity Charter Croatia

By signing the Charter, Hrvatska elektroprivreda, with another 33 companies and organizations is obliged to promote diversity and non-discrimination in its work and business environment.

HEP is a member of the Croatian Business Council for Sustainable Development, which organized the international conference in Zagreb, at which Perica Jukić, the President of the Management Board signed the Diversity Charter on behalf of HEP Group. The Charter is the initiative started by 16 EU members, with more than 7,000 signatories, which aims at conducting diversity policy in the business sector. 

Organizations which have adopted the Charter are expected to enact a policy on respecting diversity, to conduct and promote diversity principles and to report on their activities in this field.

Mirjana Matešić, the director of the Croatian Business Council for Sustainable Development spoke about the Charter at the signing ceremony, emphasizing the importance of diversity for a company’s long-term business success as a source of creativity and innovation and as a tool for fighting discrimination and for developing the same possibilities for all individuals. “Business sector appreciates employees according to their knowledge and competencies, and diversity policy in companies helps the development and self-realization of each employee, thus increasing satisfaction, loyalty and devotion to work”, she said.

The following 34 companies and organizations signed or decided to adopt the Charter: AD Plastik, AquafilCRO, Atlantic Grupa, Cemex Croatia, Coca Cola HBC Croatia, DNV GL, Dvokut Ecro, Ericsson Nikola Tesla, Hartmann Croatia, Hauska and Partner, HEP, Holcim Croatia, Hrvatski Telekom, Croatian Employers’ Association, IKEA, Ilirija Biograd, INA, Končar Electrical Engineering Institute, Messer Croatia Plin, Oriflame Cosmetics Croatia, OTP banka Croatia, Podravka, Philip Morris Zagreb, Pliva Hrvatska, Privredna banka Zagreb, PwC, Regeneracija, Schneider Electric, Securitas, Splitska banka, Tele 2, Valamar Riviera, Vetropack Straža and the Office of the Ombudswoman.
