A customer with own electricity generation from renewable energy source is either an existing or a new network user, who has a connected power plant within his installation, which he uses for his own needs, and delivers the electricity surplus into electricity network.
A customer with own power plant is a network user who has, on the same metering point, approved terminal power in direction of consumption and terminal power in direction of generation.
Taking over electricity from customers with own generation from renewable sources is regulated by the contract about the supply of end customer with own electricity generation.
In line with the Law on renewable energy sources and highly efficient cogeneration, electricity suppliers are obliged to take over electricity surpluses from customers with own generation from renewable energy sources, who fulfill the following conditions (Article 44):
