It is a rare event that eight certificates are awarded at the same time, even for the large Norwegian certification firm DNV which carries out certification in the biggest international and energy companies such as EdF, ENEL or RWE.
said Krešimir Paliska, DNV Regional Manager, at the formal award of the certificates ISO 9001 and 14001 to the hydro power plants Varaždin, Čakovec and Dubrava, and to the hydro Production Area North of HEP Proizvodnja d.o.o. On July 20 the certificates were handed in the presence of President of HEP Management Board Ivan Mravak and Board members.
After a five-month work, the certification audit was carried out on July 12 and 13 and the certification firm Det Norske Veritas confirmed the conformity of quality assurance system and environmental protection system in the three Drava`s hydro power plants with all the requirements of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.
It is the first pilot project of this kind in HEP Proizvodnja, although last year TE-TO Zagreb CHP received the certificate ISO 14001. Certification in other plants of HEP Proizvodnja is being prepared, the first to be certified will be hydro power plants in Production Area West.
