Two local networks have been established for monitoring the impact of HEP's thermal power plants on the surrounding air quality:
City of Zagreb air quality monitoring network:
- Vrhovec monitoring station – nitrogen dioxide (NO2)
- Bijenik monitoring station – sulfur dioxide (SO2) and solid particles (PM10).
Plomin air quality monitoring network:
- Ripenda monitoring station – sulfur dioxide (SO2), solid particles (PM10), nitrogen dioxide (NO2) and ground-level ozone (O3)
- Sv. Katarina monitoring station - sulfur dioxide (SO2), nitrogen dioxide (NO2) and ground-level ozone (O3)
- Plomin – sulfur dioxide (SO2) and nitrogen dioxide (NO2)
- Klavar- solid particles (PM10)
Data on air quality monitoring stations and the results of pollutants concentration measurements are published here.
