Croatian Prime Minister, Ivo Sanader, during his stay in Split, on Saturday, January 6, put into operation Program Split in a symbolic way in the (220)/110/35 kV and RCC Vrboran
The Prime Minister was accompanied by Vice Prime Minister and Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Jadranka Kosor and Luka Bebić, Ministers Ivan Šuker and Božo Biškupić, County Head Ante Sanader and Mayor Zvonimir Puljić. The project, worth 218 million kuna, was executed in the period from 2003 to 2006, securing quality and reliable electricity supply for Split, Solin and Kaštela.
- I am very glad that at the beginning of this business year we can mark the completion of this investment cycle of construction of transmission and distribution facilities from Program Split and that we can announce the continuation of construction and development of this infrastructure in the next investment cycle, said Ivan Mravak, President of HEP Management Board in his opening address to the distinguished guests.
- Split, as the second largest city in Croatia and third largest port in the Mediterranean, has the right to have its electricity situation properly solved. On behalf of the Government and members of Parliament I congratulate HEP, which has been doing well with this Management Board, and all design engineers and contractors and I encourage them to keep working.
