For the purpose of avoiding additional costs, HEP and EBRD agreed on cancelling the Loan Agreement.
Keeping in mind precautinary principles and in keeping with recommendations by the Ministry of Environmental and Nature Protection, Hrvatska elektroprivreda is prepared to make some additional adaptations to project documentation for Ombla Hydropower Plant in line with current domestic and European regulations on nature protection and steps concerning the ecological network with the aim of implementing the highest environmental protection standards.
Considering the time this procedure might take and with the aim of avoiding additional costs, HEP and EBRD have cancelled the Loan Agreement.
HEP and EBRD have expressed their willingness to continue with cooperation on future investments.
