The award of certificates to HEP Proizvodnja was held today at HEP's headquarters. HEP Proizvodnja was awarded the ISO 14001:2015 certificate for the integrated system of environmental management and the ISO 9001:2015 certificate for the quality management system.
The certificates, which are a result of cooperation and hard work of the employees of HEP Proizvodnja and the company, were awarded by the certification provider TÜV Croatia d.o.o. The President of the Management Board of TÜV Croatia d.o.o., Đuro Tunjić, emphasized that HEP Proizvodnja, with its 35 components, was the biggest system of environmental and quality management they had certified, and that certificates were not awarded, but deserved.
The Director of HEP Proizvodnja, Željko Starman congratulated to all the employees on their effort and commitment in the process of introducing the certificates.
The presentation of ISO certificates was held by Monika Babačić, the head of the Team for introducing the system of environmental and quality management, who mentioned the advantages of setting up the system according to ISO standard, which had already been recognized by HEP in 2002, when the activities of introducing the system of environmental management in TE-TO Zagreb started. TE-TO Zagreb is also the first HEP Group’s plant which obtained the ISO 14001 certificate for environmental management in 2005. On 5 December 2017 HEP Proizvodnja consolidated all the systems of environmental and quality management in all its generation plants, so that the unique system was introduced and confirmed on the level of HEP Proizvodnja.
Through certified systems of environmental and quality management, HEP Proizvodnja falls within modern, environmentally friendly firms, which prove their focus on discovering the potential for improvements and savings, on increasing product quality, improving their public image, lowering business risk, increasing process effectiveness, decreasing the possibility of negative effect on the environment and on the compliance with the environmental protection regulations.
