The ceremony was attended by President of HEP Management Board, Ivan Mravak, his team and APO`s numerous business partners. APO`s Director, Damir Subašić, gave a short review of the past 15 years, stressing that APO had significantly developed and expanded its operations over the past 15 years to include all environmental aspects.
In addition, APO has not been on the national budget since 1997 as it has been on the market and financed itself from sales of its services. It will continue to be, he said in conclusion, a company that sells its knowledge, for which they are very well equipped.
President of HEP Management Board, I. Mravak, congratulating the celebrant stressed that he believed that APO would remain successful as well as profitable.
Fifteen year ago HEP founded APO primarily to deal with radioactive waste relating to Krško nuclear power plant. The company`s focus expanded to an ever larger range of services so that today radioactive waste and Krško-related activities account for only 10 percent of its operations and 90 percent are related to environmental protection. Its annual turnover is from
one million and a half to two million euros. The company has acquired reputation in preparing environmental impact studies, program for rehabilitation of old industrial plants or other polluted locations and in preparing plans for environmental accidents.
